Meet Valerie
I’m a leadership coach, mindfulness mentor and educator, writer and DEI consultant to nonprofits.
Personal and professional clients come to me to help them navigate life and work transitions, which includes grief and loss.
I have a particular interest in helping women 40+ navigate the consequences of workplace bullying and abuse, past and present. My lived experience of workplace bullying and intimate partner violence, as well as the fruits of my ongoing healing journey, are the foundation of my work. I never stop learning and clients and sharing those benefits with clients.
I draw on a 30+ year mindfulness meditation practice that includes extensive silent retreat experience. I know sustainable change comes from practices that increase self-awareness. Self-awareness generates self-compassion, which leads to loving self-care, confidence and joy. With time, dedication and patience It’s possible to flourish, and find the purpose and meaning you thought you lost!
It’s also a joy to share a wide variety of creative practices that include journaling, literature and poetry readings, and the visual arts.
I’m a mother, daughter, sister, aunt and niece, and love to garden, hike, walk, wander, and daydream.
For details of my multifaceted career as a communications professional, wellness entrepreneur (co-founded a pioneering doula service), and public health and nonprofit leader, check my LinkedIn profile.
